There are a lot of hotel options in Holland if you want to stay close to the ceremony location. This is another one we like!

We love Michigan in the summer - here are some of our favorite west Michigan spots if you find yourself having some extra time during the weekend!

Sunday Mass:

Just over a half mile from the JW Marriott. Sunday Mass is offered at 10:00am, 5:30pm, and 7:30pm. The Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish is another option nearby with Sunday Mass offered at 7:45am and 9:30am; they also offer Latin Mass at 11:30am. Please make sure to double-check the parish websites beforehand in case any of the Mass times vary for the weekend!

Cathedral of Saint Andrew

On the way out of downtown Grand Rapids, Sunday Mass is offered at 8:30am &amp; 10:30am.

Basilica of St Adalbert

If you are looking for Sunday Mass in Holland, Our Lady of the Lake Mass times are 9:00am and 11:00am.

Our Lady of the Lake Church

One of our favorite parishes in west Michigan! Sunday Mass is offered at 9:00am and 11:00am. For those who might be attending Mass somewhere between Holland and Grand Rapids, St. Pius X in Grandville also offers Mass at 8:30am and 10:30am.

St Sebastian Catholic Church

Best local coffeeshop we know! Right across the street from where the ceremony will be held.

Lemonjello's Coffee

No reservation needed. (21+ after 7pm). Bring your own food or games and stay as long as you want! We love to stop here in between events and eat pinwheels from next door over a game of Dutch Blitz!

Our Brewing Company

One of our most frequented restaurants! The land of pepperoni pinwheels &amp; lake life lemonades. We recommend making a reservation for a larger party. There is also an outdoor service window if you want to just grab a drink and walk around 8th street, which is a social district.

New Holland Brewing - Holland Brewpub

Some seriously good sushi that is very affordable. They also do carry-out in under 20 mins!

Mizu Sushi

Great breakfast spot and open on Sundays. There is also blueberry picking in the area.

Bowerman's on 8th

The farmer's market is open Saturdays at the end of 8th street, so this could be a great thing to do in the morning if you are enjoying a weekend trip! There is also a really nice movie theater on this end of 8th street that we love!

Holland Farmers Market

There are lots of fun restaurants and lookout spots on the way to the beach! Kin Coffee is another one of our favorite coffeeshops!

Holland State Park - Macatawa Campground

This is the other main option for going to the beach that we recommend if you do not have a Michigan state park pass. There is parking on the side street across from the park to avoid having to pay for parking. Climb the dune or walk through the tunnel! Choose your own adventure.

Tunnel Park

Em's favorite chicken tenders of all time. If you try them out, you must let us know!

Hancock

This has become our favorite spot to grab a nice drink with friends!

Mammoth Distilling Cocktail Lounge

Great spot to walk around indoors with lots of different food options!

Grand Rapids Downtown Market

In addition to the John Ball Zoo, this could be another great place to walk around outside if you are looking for a daytime activity during the weekend.

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

A favorite post-grad coffeeshop, and in a great location for those who may be staying in the Wyoming/Grandville area.

Wildroast Coffee Co

The location of our first date! A bit of a further drive for those just in town for one night but totally worthwhile to walk around downtown Saugatuck if you are in for the weekend!
