We have provided directions to travel to the wedding venue by public transport or by car from London. However, they will also be helpful finding the wedding venue in general when coming from your accommodation
Please refer to your specific local accommodation directions when initially arriving in the area to check-in
At the bottom of the page you will see a list of local taxis, Uber does operate in Exeter so that is an option. There may be a local taxi service closer to your specific accommodation
Travel by public transport
1. Get the train from London Paddington to Exeter St Davids
Note: The journey takes around 2hrs 10mins and is a direct service. Book early and it's not too expensive
2. Get a taxi from the Exeter St Davids train station to the wedding venue, or to your accommodation. Use Uber or the local Exeter taxis added below as they are close to the station
Note: The journey to the wedding venue takes around 20mins by taxi and costs £20-£30, to your accommodation it will likely be around the same. If you can, we suggest buddying up to make the trip cheaper per person, let us know if you need help with finding someone to share taxis with etc.
Travel by car
The roads to the wedding venue and the area in general can be a bit tricky so please take care. The post code to follow is: EX6 6QB
Note: With about 5min left on the SatNav it may be better to switch to the below directions as the wedding venue can be difficult to find
From the South-west on the A38 – take the Bovey Tracey turnoff onto the A382. Head towards Bovey Tracey and then stay on the A382 until you reach Moretonhampstead. In the centre of Moretonhampstead go straight across at the crossroads (past the antiques shop on your left) and take the next right (Fore Street) and immediately left down Lime Street (opposite the library). Contine along this road, over Mardon Down and cross the River Teign at Clifford Bridge. Shortly after the bridge there is a crossroads, go straight over signposted Cheriton Bishop. We are first on the left, signposted Clifford Barton
From the North on the M5/A30 – The M5 turns into the A30 after Exeter. After approx 8 miles on the A30 take the Woodleigh Junction exit (signposted Cheriton Bishop). On entering Cheriton Bishop turn left immediately before the Thatch Pub, signposted to Clifford Bridge. Continue along this road for 1.8 miles then take a right turn at a crossroads, signposted to Clifford Bridge. Follow this road down the hill for 0.8 miles then turn right into Clifford Barton
From the West on the A30 – Travelling east on the A30 take the Woodleigh Junction exit (signposted Cheriton Bishop). On entering Cheriton Bishop turn left immediately before the Thatch Pub, signposted to Clifford Bridge. Continue along this road for 1.8 miles then take a right turn at a crossroads, signposted to Clifford Bridge. Follow this road down the hill for 0.8 miles then turn right into Clifford Barton
