Federal Hill is Providence's version of "Little Italy". There are lots of great restaurants on the hill. Our top spots for a sit down dinner include Cassarino's, Massimo, Constanino's Venda Bar and Camille's. Our first date spot, Providence Oyster Bar, has half price apps on Sunday afternoons for their "appy hour". Patische is a great place to go for dessert. And Caserta's Pizza is a classic Rhode Island spot for a more casual lunch spot.
Our hometown is Warren, about 15-20 minutes from Providence. We have a really cute downtown area that has restaurants and shops and is a great place to spend an afternoon. We love The Square Peg for dinner, Uptown Social for breakfast and Stingy Alley for a cocktail. Main Street and Water Street run parallel to each other and each have a lot of options.
We have many favorite breweries in Rhode Island! Many have games you can play or we even bring our own card game to play while we enjoy some drinks.
Our recommendations are:
- Narragansett Brewery (Providence, RI)
- The Guild (Providence or Warren, RI)
- Ragged Island (Portsmouth, RI)
- Apponaug Brewery (Warwick, RI)
The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is 15-20 min away from Providence at the Roger William Park Zoo. It's a really fun fall event with thousands of pumpkins. It can get busy on weekend nights in October, but is definitely worth it! They have fall treats and beers for sale as well to get before you walk through the exhibit.
