The Meet-Cute Thursday, July 20th, 2018 Tom is on year 2 of intramural volleyball with work friends. Team 'Mike Jones' was needing additional players when Curtis Crockett, decided to join a different intramural league (we will forgive him later) as his absence opened a spot for a "free agent" to join. Kailey had recently moved into the Highlands area of Denver, and due to a cancellation of her original intramural team, was forced to find and join a new location and team. Out of all the sports and location options, she chose volleyball in the Tennyson area. Thursday, July 20th 2018 6:30 pmKailey shows up to play volleyball without knowing or having met anyone on the team, but knows to look for the hot pink team, named "Mike Jones". Enter a handful of guys standing off to the side of the volleyball courts, wearing hot pink, goofing around, and drinking beers (Coors, of course). Kailey walks up and gives her best business handshake to introduce herself to the step-in captain for the night, Tom."Woah that's a firm handshake you've got there" was the first thing Tom said to Kailey. The following hour was filled with giggles, beer chugs, poor athletic performances, and the rest was history. Kailey realized she had seen Tom on a dating app, but had declined to connect because he lived far away. Little did she know, she would be spending the 20 minutes driving to Broomfield to see Tom over the next few months (before he moved to downtown Denver). Tom asked Kailey to be his girlfriend on November 5th, 2018 after she visited his hometown and attended her first Ohio State Football game (OSU, of course, won). Tom then asked Kailey to marry him on December 15th, 2021 on the famously known street in Denver, Larimer Square. Over the course of three years together, they shared an apartment, adopted a cat and bought a house together. The ProposalThursday, December 15th, 2021 Kailey was out to dinner with (her future Maid of Honor) Jill Sparks at Corridor 44 on Larimer Square, and had just finished the first leg of girls night out. Jill suggested going to the next restaurant across the street but wanted to take a picture in front of the beautifully decorated Christmas tree first. As Kailey posed for a picture, Tom rounded the Christmas tree, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Kailey was so surprised she ugly cried (I mean.. UGLY) as she realized this was a set up and her best friends were involved. It took a minute for her to calm down, say "YES!" and realize that Jill is an amazing actress for keeping her cool while secretly coordinating with the men who were hiding across the street for an hour. Tom dropped Kailey off for girls night, and immediately went home, got showered and dressed with Jill's husband, Jason, just to come back to Larimer Square an hour later and propose. Kailey was in so much shock that she hardly ate her food (which never happens) and kept asking Tom how he managed to pull off such a surprise. She later found out that he had purchased the ring the previous July, and kept it hidden in an ammunition box in the closet. The four spent the rest of the night cheers-ing champagne at Osteria Marco and continuing the celebrations at the Green Russell speakeasy, accordingly. Brunch was a necessity the next day. Tom and Kailey look forward to celebrating their marriage with each and every one of you.

Jill and I met through Denver's Intramural volleyball league, VOLO. She has been a great friend, teammate, and Bachelor drinking buddy. Jill has been my Colorado sister, and I wouldn't trade the world for all the laughs, late nights, and wine we've shared.

I'm honored to have Jill by my side during any life milestone.

Natalie and Kailey became friends after working out at the same Crossfit gym during COVID. 

A friend had mentioned her roommate, Natalie, had recently moved to Denver from New York and due to COVID restrictions, wasn't sure if Denver was as fun as she hoped. 

After Natalie met Tom and Kailey, Denver was fun and full of activities that made Denver "home". 

Now, Natalie is a major part of Tom and Kailey's lives (and their kitties) and they're so happy Natalie can be part of their "big day".

Kailey met Molly through mutual friends and immediately hit it off. They spent many date nights, single nights, and girls nights together (always with a glass of wine in hand). Kailey was a bridesmaid in Molly's wedding and now has the honor of Molly being by her side on this special day.

Madison was the first girl Kailey met in Denver through a mutual friend. Together they worked promotional events together and soon became close friends and even connected more friends that would later turn into roommates (Kacie). 

Madison was there during the highs and lows of Denver dating and I'm so happy to have her stand by my side as I say "I do" to someone she approves and has come to find funny (be sure to ask for the longer version of this story).

There are many wonderful AirBnB s in old town Longmont. A word of caution about booking anything in Historic East Old Town – the train goes right through the middle of town at all hours! Yikes! So do yourself a favor and stay in Historic West Old Town.
