The Wedding Resort: Knossos Beach Bungalow Suites & Resort Spa is closest to the Heraklion airport on the central north side of Crete.

Many European airlines fly directly to this airport from England, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Greece. We advise taking a direct connecting flight instead of flying to Athens and then catching a small local flight or ferry, as that can be a more hectic travel path.

If you do find yourself in Athens, you can take a small local flight (~50 minutes) with Aegean Airlines or take a ferry from Athens but Crete is the farthest island from the mainland and the ferry can take 9-hours or more.

Once you have arrived at Heraklion airport, you can arrange a taxi or van to bring you to the wedding resort which is only ~10 minutes away from the airport.

Transport to and from optional activities will mainly be booked by us. Taxis are the best way to get around the city, Uber is available but may be sparse service. There are buses if you'd like to take day trips to near by towns/cities/historical sites on your own.
