Like all romantic fairy tales our love story began in a bar, kidddding- well, sort of. Travis and I first made eye contact at a Country Music Concert at the Warehouse, he later found me on Facebook, and well who wouldn’t respond to a cute Helicopter Pilot with an oversized hound dog?

Our first date was at Tequilas where over Margaritas he told me how tequila and him are not good together, so naturally with zero hesitation I slammed that cocktail and then he took me to Wrigley’s Field, talk about love at first sight LOL!

The Frenchies instantly loved Travis (maybe even more than they love me) and Buddy eventually made himself right at home on a leather sectional, with his custom made ceramic dog dish from Riley and one HOA noise ordinance warning.

Riley and Travis are so much alike it’s almost scary. Almost instantly they connected and bonded over Mexican Pizzas, and all things hunting; it was obvious very early on that Travis was everything she had been missing in her life and God brought us all that and more in Travis and Buddy.

The memories we’ve made as a couple and collected as a family are nothing short of adventurous. In no particular order but to name a few……. we will never forget our first fishing trip where Travis removed a hook from my eyelid, cutting our first Christmas tree and Rebecca cutting the cheese, taking on Vegas with a basketball team of 13yr olds, melted leopard print gloves when Trav helped me fill my first buck tag, Riley and Trav driving in “beer googles” on Christmas Day, Buddy with the ham bone and Dunky forgetting Daisy was his sister when she went into heat and I called Travis in a panic, scouting for moose- hiking for sheep and walking out in the dark chasing elk and the color of the blue water on the beach in the Bahamas where Travis and I got engaged.


We have now been together over two years, and
if laughter was a love language it would be Travis and I, coupled with a love of the outdoors, and adventure. The best is yet to come and we have so many sunsets still to collect.
