I first recall seeing Trayanna at the Adaire in Tysons Corner, which is the building we both lived in back in 2018. There was a holiday party on the rooftop and I recall her coming up to the area I was sitting in to say hello to some of the people I was sitting with. I dont remember if I said hello or not, but she was dating someone at the time and was with him, and I was living the single life so I really didnt pay either of them much attention. Fast forward a couple of months, I was at a day party in DC, The Gryphon to be exact, and was rolling solo as I tended do to at the time. I was at the bar ordering a drink, and you know how you can feel the heat radiating from someone staring a hole in your face? Well yea, I felt that, and a few seconds later some short girl that was with a friend or two comes up asking Hey, do you live at the Adaire? Yes, I replied, recalling that Ive seen her briefly before at the building. She seemed pretty nice and we proceeded to make small talk for a few minutes. I knew I couldnt keep the rest of my fans waiting, so I think we ended by exchanging pleasantries and went on to enjoy the day party. The building we lived in was pretty swanky and hosted weekly Wine Down Wednesdays in the lobby. This was a great way to kick back after work and socialize with your neighbors while snacking on hors doeuvres and drinking cheap wine until it ran out. These events were usually scheduled for two hours, but once the drinks began flowing and the conversations got deep/heated, someone would often volunteer to keep the party going in their apartment. Now, Im not 100% sure if thats what happened in our case, but I recall being in the lobby one evening and someone saying were going to Trays apartment. Well, I didnt know who Tray was, or what apartment I was going to, but I remember walking in and there were several women in the kitchen, including that girl from the Gryphon. They were playing some type of game, which I wasnt interested in playing, but I had a drink and recall talking to Tray quite a bit more. I was going to my apartment, but knew Id be up for a while so I left her my apartment number and told her that she could swing by since she seemed pretty cool to talk to. We hung out that evening, and the day after, and the day after.....and well as they say the rest is history. Of course, there are probably some things Im forgetting, but this is how I recall meeting Trayanna.
