On the corner of Agate and Park Avenue where the ferry bridges to the peninsula, fate set the stage for a love story to unfold. At their first date, four days after Valentine’s Day, Trevor naturally arrived first, being the planner of the two. Kelvin, approaching like the bachelor, met Trevor at the restaurant door, kissing him instantly. They sat outside, the heater warding off the brisk winter evening.

Trevor was moved by Kelvin’s warmth, realizing he hadn’t encountered someone so genuine in quite a long time. Their first Christmas together occurred during the pandemic lockdown, preventing them from seeing their families. Holding hands, they walked through Christmas lights, keeping the magic alive. Though there were times when pandemic restrictions kept them apart, they maintained the spark and excitement through communication and creativity.

Over time, as their love deepened, Kelvin knew Trevor was the one. Trevor's adept handling of disagreements and their alignment in life priorities, work ethics, and family values impressed Kelvin. Although it took time for Kelvin to grasp the depth Trevor offered, once he did, he knew Trevor was the man he wanted to spend his life with.
