We ask that you wear Semi-Formal wear for our big day. We understand that August in the Midwest is not always best for full suits/dresses, but a step above casual is appreciated for our wedding!

Yes! Wartburg Theological Seminary has plenty of parking. You can park along the street on Wartburg Place and there is a parking lot behind the castle. There are also handicap accessible spots in both areas.

As people of faith, The Triune God is at the center of this ceremony and our lives in general. Our churches (ELCA and UMC) affirm that ALL are welcome. The sacraments are a gift from God as an assurance of God’s love and the forgiveness of sins. We invite all guests to taste and see that the Lord is good.

Outside of our wedding, there are lots of great places to check out in Dubuque. We recommend the walking trails in the Mines of Spain, drinks and vintage arcade games at Back-pocket, or coffee and the best açaí bowl at Charlotte’s Coffee House! There is also a playground at Wartburg Seminary if the kiddos need to run around!
