Winters is a food-lover’s paradise, specializing in farm-to-table cuisine, with local restaurants showing off the bounty of the surrounding farmland. From elegant special-occasion restaurants to laid-back cafes and pizzerias, the food scene in Winters is unparalleled. It is one of the many reasons we chose our venue. After touring Park Winters, we took a stroll around town and became completely enamored by its charm. Everything we have tried in Winters has been delicious but here are a few local favorite recommendations!
This women-owned-and-operated establishment crafts French-inspired, low-alcohol aperitifs by infusing local wine with seasonal fruit and botanicals, and they also serve a selection of perfectly paired appetizers.

Known for their chocolatey Monticello Mocha, Steady Eddy’s, located in Historic Downtown Winters, is a small family-owned coffee shop named after the friendly cat that previously lived beneath the building. Whether you’re just starting your day or you need a quick pick-me-up, come on into your local coffee shop.
The Buckhorn Steakhouse has been a family-owned and operated traditional steakhouse since 1980. Once an elegant, state-of-the-art hotel, the Buckhorn carries on as a local icon and central meeting location in the heart of historic downtown Winters. The steakhouse is known for our signature char-roasted tri-tip, Mentink style prime rib, outstanding Certified Angus Beef.
The Turkovich Family Wines tasting room is located in Historic Downtown Winters and is the ideal place for enjoying local wines and artisan cheese. The rustic interior is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Winery and farm tours are also available. Join us daily starting at 8am, when the aroma of applewood smoked bacon and freshly brewed coffee fills the air, welcoming farmers and early risers to our cozy cafe. Our comfort food has won the hearts of locals and visitors alike, who happily line up each weekend to enjoy our delicious, scratch-made dishes.
For beer lovers, Hooby’s Brewing is a family-owned and operated brewery. We pride ourselves in making this a fun and safe atmosphere for family gatherings and date nights
Flower farm and farm bites are available at our venue. Wander through our flower fields and pick your own seasonal bouquet. The Park Winters Flower Farm is filled with colorful flowers—from cosmos and marigolds, zinnias, dahlias, poppies and dianthus, sweet peas, love in a mist, agrostemmas and snapdragons, blooming artichokes and cardoons, ranunculus to sunflowers and more! This experience will be offered most on Saturdays and Sundays. Guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 8:30am and 12pm to pick flowers. The flower field is open until 1pm, walk-ins are welcome.
Head to Lake Solano to fish, rent canoes, or get a campsite. Lake Solano Park sits at the base of the coastal foothills west of the town of Winters. Lake Solano helps control the amount of water flowing from Lake Berryessa into Putah Creek and is important for many different animals, including birds, black-tailed deer, ground squirrels, and California quail. The cold water in the creek and lake is famous for flyfishing.
For fresh-air fun, hike the loop at Stebbins Cold Canyon Trail (part of the University of California Natural Reserve System), with views of both Lake Berryessa and the Berryessa Mountains. Four trails are available with moderate to hard difficulties ranging from 2.7 mi to 7.2 mi
The Putah Creek area is just downstream from where the Monticello Dam forms Lake Berryessa. A favorite for fishing, swimming, birding, and hiking, this pristine woodland offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventure.
