How early do I need to arrive to the venue?
As early as you can! We will likely have shuttles beginning to take guests up to the mountaintop from the venue parking lot beginning around 4:00pm. The last guest shuttle will leave at 4:30pm on the dot, no exceptions. The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm. If you do not make the 4:30pm shuttle, we will miss you at the ceremony, but will love to still see you at the reception!
What is the dress code?
We want you to be comfortable at our wedding. The dress code is somewhere between country and western, and dressy casual attire. We would recommend flowy dresses, light fabrics, cowboy and cowgirl boots, western style hats, and denim. You could also wear a light dress shirt with khakis or other lightweight slacks, jackets and ties are optional!
Can I RSVP online, or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?
To keep things simple, please RSVP online!
What date should I RSVP by?
Please submit your RSVP on our website by May 24 to give us time to get our final head counts to our vendors!
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be on a mountaintop, and the reception will be at a barn with indoor and outdoor space! There is a restroom facility at the parking lot when you arrive prior to being shuttled to the mountaintop, and there is a restroom at the reception barn!
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at a hotel?
Not quite, but we do have a link to discounted lodging! Of all the hotels in West Jefferson, we would only recommend the Holiday Inn Express. Otherwise, check out some Airbnbs or other cabins and make a weekend out of it!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
If your Save The Date indicated your name plus a guest, then yes, you can bring a plus one!
What type of food will be served at the reception?
During cocktail hour, we'll have some handheld hors d'oeuvres to munch on while everyone is getting down from the mountain. For dinner, we'll have the options of chicken or pork loin, with salad and yummy sides! For dessert, we'll have cookies and cupcakes!
Will there be an open bar?
We're glad you asked, we'll be serving beer and wine! As an aside, please don't have any mini bottles around, as you may be asked to leave by our event coordinator if caught.
Is there a link to your wedding registry?
If you click the Registry tab on our website, you'll see that we don't exactly have a registry. Instead, we've opted for guests to contribute to our honeymoon fund!
If we insist on bringing a gift, where should we bring or send it?
If you insist on bringing a gift, please bring it to the reception.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
The ceremony will be unplugged as good money is being spent for a photographer and videographer, but by all means you can take photos at the reception!
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
You can absolutely post photos on social media, but only AFTER the bride and groom have BOTH posted on social media.
What is your wedding hashtag?
#yougottamckinneyme
