Matthew and Trisha met in July 2018 through friends of friends in Whistler, BC. Matthew almost bailed on the group trip to Whistler and Trisha was never supposed to be there in the first place. Funny how life works sometimes!

The moment they met, they immediately clicked and bonded over a mutual love for food, wine, and dogs. Their friendship developed, and 1 month later after meeting, Trisha went back to school in the U.S...but the story was just getting started.

Their friendship grew despite the distance and they started officially dating in March 2019. Over the past 3 years, they've worked through long distance, a global pandemic, and many other crazy life events!

Whenever Trisha would come back home to visit, they would always try to find cool new places to explore. One day, they were driving around White Rock and stumbled across a beautiful viewpoint in a quiet residential area. This quickly became their go-to "spot". Every time Trisha would visit Vancouver, they would go back to their spot to watch the sunset and talk about life.

Fast forward to 2022, it was only fitting that Matthew proposed to Trisha at their spot. On June 4th, Matthew asked Trisha to marry him.
