Paul and Trisha met on the forever lovely site of Bumble. Trisha reached out to Paul and said "Are you the sk8r boi I have been waiting for" and Paul said "Possibly." They decided it could potentially be a good match.
A week out from meeting one another, Paul was attending Redeemer Presbyterian Church (#faithful). He looked down at his church bulletin and saw a picture of Trisha in the "New Member" section. Paul leaned over to his friend Caleb Keitt and said "I am going on a date with this girl next week." When Paul sent a picture to Trisha of the bulletin, Trisha thought to herself "How did you find this?" and questioned who this man was. It turns out, they had been going to the same church for over a year, but had been attending different services so never met.
They met for the first time at Half Liter, a barbecue spot near the Monon in June 2023. They talked for hours, until they started getting dirty looks by the wait staff because it was closing time and they were some of the last people there. Paul didn't kiss Trisha.
Their next date was at a food hall in downtown Indianapolis where they talked even longer than before. Trisha also saw a guy she had been dating before Paul (yike). Paul didn't kiss Trisha then.
The following date was after church one Sunday where Trisha went over to Paul's house and they listened to music for hours, ate tacos, and talked even more. Paul still did not kiss Trisha.
The next date they tried out this really bad brew pub in Broad Ripple and took a walk on the Monon. They ended up sitting on a bench near the White River at the Broad Ripple Arts Center. As fireflies surrounded them *cue Fireflies by Owl City* Paul finally kissed Trisha. They celebrated with Insomnia Cookies.
And the rest is history.
