Although Tristan and Ansley both went to the same high school only a year apart, their paths never crossed until they met at a country dancing bar called Bushwackers on a Saturday night in January 2022. Ansley was on a date with another guy (whoops) and Tristan was going out to country dance for the first time since graduating from fire academy. They noticed each other on the dance floor. As soon as Ansley left her date, she received a message from Tristan asking her out on a date - that same night! Ansley said yes! *that other date must not have gone too well, huh?*

Tristan and Ansley went on their first date a week later - out to sushi & games at the Arcade Bar. That led to date #2 & after looking back, they both felt like they had met "the one" after that night. Date #2 was of course at Buschwackers, dancing the night away together for the first time. However, the best part of that date was the conversation on the ride home. Usually Tristan would have a list of questions he would want to ask a girl prior to dating them, but to his surprise, Ansley started asking those same questions to him that night. All of their answers aligned with what they had been searching for.

Fun memories were shared over the next year & the more they learned about each other, the deeper they fell in love. About a month after their 1 year anniversary, Tristan popped the question - of course at their place - Bushwackers! He also popped the question to one of Ansley's favorite songs - From This Moment On by Shania Twain. Special thanks to Paige, Petts, Holly, & Jeff for helping to pull it all off! Ansley surprisingly cried her eyes out, meanwhile Tristan's heart was beating three times the normal rate. Tristan had both of their families and closest friends there to help celebrate after! It was the perfect day!
