Our Love Story

Watch Pre-Wedding Trailer Here

SHALOM: Our love story started when we were kids. I met Trixie as a child and fell in love with her, when she too was but a child. It could've been puppy love or whatever they call it but I knew how I felt about her (even though I probably had no right to be feeling things at that age). We got separated for most of our lives, reconnecting occasionally, and with each occasion, I was just more convinced that she was perfect. I've kept her in my heart my whole life. These are the memories we've had, up until last year when I got to meet her again as an adult and I've never been more convicted of anything as much as I was that we were meant for each other.

TRIXIE: He has always been a significant part of my love story. Those closest to me have heard tales of my childhood, and the name "Shalom" has been a constant. From the moment I met this charismatic, charming, handsome, sweet, thoughtful, einstein-smart boy, I knew he was special. Through a couple of visits and interactions, he grew on me. No one had ever been so bold, direct, insistent, and persistent in loving me, even when I tried to push him away. I believe God had a plan when we were apart for a decade. I think He had much to teach me about the author of Love (Jesus), Life (God), and myself (man). How is it that I'd never felt fully emotionally available to anyone else for a decade? Whenever thoughts of moving on filled my mind, I felt the need to see him again to do so properly. Was God keeping me for him? April 2023 arrived with wedding bells, as his eldest brother David got married in Nigeria. Joshua, my brother, who was his best man, didn't come home alone. There he was, all 6 feet of him, no longer the kid I loved, but still the man I will always love.
