RIDE-HAILING APPS & TAXIS

The three most popular ride-hailing apps in Accra are: Uber, Bolt and Yango. You can download the apps ahead of time to help you move around the city on your own easier. For air-conditioned cars, be sure to order Comfort rides as regular rides are usually small fuel-efficient hatchbacks without air-conditioning. There are local Ghanaian taxis that you may be able to hail from a station or right off the road and you will identify them by their yellow-coloured fenders and taxi signs above their roof. Do note that, they tend to be a bit pricier than ride-hailing apps and your safety is less guaranteed.
