The year was 2016... Ty and Alyssa would be nearing the end of their junior year, at George Jenkins High School. Two souls that couldn't come from more opposing backgrounds, would soon become one. Being that the two had no classes together, partook in far different extracurriculars, and almost no mutual friends.. the chances that their paths would cross are slim to none. However, they only needed that one perfect moment where their universes would collide. In their free time, Alyssa worked at Chick-fil-a and Ty played on his High School golf team. One particular Tuesday started as any other day would for these two. They both go off to school, after, Ty would go to golf practice with his teammates and Alyssa would start her evening shift at Chick-fil-a. Per usual, Ty and his teammates debated on where to go for dinner after practice and they settled on Chick-fil-a. Once they arrived and began to walk through the doors of the establishment, "Oh God no, I do NOT want to take their order.." Alyssa thinks to herself as she sees them walk through the doors. The internal battle continues, "Maybe I can just hide in the back and wait for someone else to go help them." *Hides* "Omg, they're still there... I have no choice, let's just get this over with.." - If you've made it this far, you may be wondering WTH? Yeah... there's a bit of background lore between these two. So if you're curious, just ask. - Ty and his friends approach the counter, then Alyssa suddenly takes over the cash register. "Hey! How are y'all doing?" Alyssa starts the conversation. His friends go on to talk to her and order their meals. Whereas Ty, being the reserved gentleman he is, decides to order last but he certainly had a plan. After Alyssa took his order, he went straight to business and asked, "So how's your relationship?". He knows she is freshly single, and jumped on the opportunity. Alyssa decided to be open and honest with Ty, responding with "Not good at all... How are you and your situation?" Mind you, Alyssa is fully aware that he is also, freshly single. Ty also choosing honesty in this incredibly vulnerable moment, "Not good, we broke up." - You may be waiting for a silver lining moment.. However after this brief interaction, the two wished each other the best and that was it. - They didn't speak to each other again... Until a few nights later, Ty confidently sent Alyssa a twitter DM that she couldn't pass up. "Hey, is this still your number (000)-000-0000??" Immediately, a delightful conversation came up between the two and the rest is literally history.

We are so grateful to have experienced Gods timing in such a pure form. This story is no New York Times Bestseller.. yet it is our testimony that God has a plan for you and you are loved! Always listen to the Holy Spirit and follow your heart.

I had so much enjoyment writing this, while reminiscing on the moments that led us to be where we are today. I hope it wasn't a snoozer for anyone that does decide to read this! Thank you for following along on this journey, and we are just so excited to be MARRIED!!! <3
