Soon after meeting online June 2021, Tyler asked Erica to go on a golfing date at Osgood Golf Course in Fargo. Weekly dates quickly turned into spending all of their free time together, getting to know all about one another.

On July 24th, 2022, Tyler once again asked Erica to go golfing at the Osgood Golf Course. On the 9th hole after Erica teed off, she turned around to Tyler on one knee!
