In the summer of 2017, Patrick was working at Epic and living in Middleton, WI, while Tyler had just finished his Masters in Secondary Education and Social Studies and living in Chicago, IL. While Tyler was home visiting his family over the summer, the pair met online.

That summer, Patrick was originally cast in the Middleton Players Theatre production of Ragtime as Father. As is always the trend in the theatre world, the show needed additional men to fill out the ensemble, so Patrick asked Tyler if he'd be interested in joining the cast. The pair spent the summer rehearsing together and building the foundation of their relationship on the stage they returned to for their engagement pictures.

After the summer ended, Tyler went back to Chicago to teach at Holy Trinity, and Patrick stayed in Middleton. The pair spent the next year making trips back and forth to see each other - Chicago traffic and all.

Tyler moved back to Wisconsin in the summer of 2018, where the pair continues to live today. They love spending time together and with their friends, and they rarely have free time between work, rehearsals for various productions, playing new board games, traveling, and trying out new recipes.

Tyler is currently a Special Education Teacher at Clark Street Community School while simultaneously taking classes to get his Special Education Licensure. Patrick is currently a Technical Solutions Engineer at Epic.
