Once upon a holy swipe…


Wesley and Valerie’s love story began where all good modern Christian fairy tales do—on a dating app called Upward. It took just one “blessed” swipe right for two hearts to start aligning under one God. While others were scrolling for selfies, Wesley and Valerie were looking for faith, purpose, and a best friend.


Their very first date? It wasn’t at a coffee shop or a movie theater—nope, it was at Second Baptist Church (because what better way to test compatibility than sitting through a sermon together?). And afterward, they broke bread—literally—at Olive Garden. Between the never-ending breadsticks and conversations about Jesus, they knew this was something special.


From that day forward, they’ve been inseparable—praying together, laughing uncontrollably over the silliest things (like the most random things that Wesley brings up… lol), and supporting each other through every season. Whether it was late-night chats or Sunday brunches filled with laughter and extra syrup, their relationship has always been centered on God’s love and His perfect timing.


So here they are today—two imperfect people chasing a perfect God, ready to say “I do” and begin the rest of their forever. Because when God writes your love story, it’s always better than anything you could swipe into existence.
