We met through a dating app called 'Boo.' While I don't believe in "love at first sight," I can only describe it as the closest thing you can get to it. We had a lot in common; she's kind, honest about herself, and could possibly spend as much time talking about D&D as I could. I sent a message, (then quickly panicked, not knowing if a message counted as a match request), but sure enough, the next day, she sent one back. We got to watch the eclipse together at work, and eventually, we decided to meet in Waco.
The date started a bit on the awkward side, but after going to the Mammoth exhibit, we stopped for lunch and wound up talking for the rest of the day. After that, I asked if she would like to start a relationship, and she said yes.
Since then, you can usually find us in Waco, hanging out at King's Landing, maybe down at the Belton theater, or maybe at the Ren Faire when it comes to town. I love Valori, and I'm excited to see you at the celebration of our union on July 26th!
I wouldn't have thought that Dungeons and Dragons would end up leading to a marriage, but here we are. I matched with Patrick because he looked nice, and I figured that even if it didn't lead anywhere, it's always fun to talk about D&D with folks who also enjoy it. We did a lot of that, and I discovered that Patrick was incredibly easy to talk to. As I got to know him better, he was (and still is!) consistently kind, considerate, and patient, in a way that I had never experienced before. He liked me for me, and I grew to love him, for him. I feel so blessed, and I am looking forward to learning and building a life together with Patrick.
