Please see below regarding airport and lodging information. With limited parking on the island and nearly everything within approximately one mile of walking distance, we recommend a rideshare/taxi/car service from the airport to your lodging.
Airports
Tampa International Airport (TPA) is a 45 minute drive from Opal Sands with direct flights from Kansas City on Southwest and from Minneapolis on Delta.
St. Pete Clearwater (PIE) is a 35 minute drive from Opal Sands and is served by Allegiant Airlines.
Primary Resort and Wedding Venue
Opal Sands Resort
Opal Sands will be our wedding location for the ceremony and reception, as well as our primary resort. Located on the corner of the island, this resort provides sweeping views of the Gulf, up to famous Pier 60 and down to the southern beaches. All rooms in the hotel have a gorgeous waterfront view!
KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR FLASH SALES!!! The resort allows for cancelling and rebooking lower rates up to 7 days prior to check in and no payment required prior to 7 days out. For guests staying at Opal Sands, we will be hosting a "recovery pool party" all day on Saturday after the wedding at the pool cabanas.
