Thank you so much for joining us in Vallarta in a few weeks! Please read below for some important information. We can't wait to see everyone!

.

How do we get to the hotel from the airport?

Important note: Ubers are NOT allowed to pick up passengers from the airport (only drop off), so you will need to head straight to the official taxi booths to book your ride. Fares are based on clearly marked zones on the map of Vallarta so just share the name and address of the hotel, Grand Miramar P.º de Los Corales 139, Conchas Chinas, 48390 Puerto Vallarta, and they will charge you the ride on the spot. Take your receipt to one of the many taxi ride organizers and they will direct you where to wait for the next available ride. We recommend having a few pesos to tip your driver after the 30-60 minute ride. If you would like to share your flight information with us, please feel free so we know when to expect you and maybe even connect you with other guests arriving at the same time to carpool from the airport in larger vans. How can we get in touch while in Mexico?

We have never had issues with AT&T or T-Mobile once in Vallarta, but at the airport, signal is limited and WIFI is subpar. Please text, call or Whatsapp either of us if anything comes up during the weekend as we want everyone to feel comfortable while in Mexico. Vanessa: 713-264-1456 and Grant: 817-729-5344

How do we get to the welcome dinner on Friday?

Dinner on Friday will now be at the hotel so there will be no need for us all to head into town.

What does food look like over the weekend?

The hotel has complimentary breakfast every day, and we will be providing dinners of course on Friday and Saturday. See below for some of our favorite restaurants for anyone interested in going into town for lunch. The hotel also has a lunch menu available at the restaurant. Additionally, each room has a mini fridge, a microwave, and a two-burner stove, so feel free to buy groceries if you'd like to prepare your own meals.

Where should we eat in town?

We absolutely recommend lunch at LAMARA for some of the best ceviche and aguachile tostadas we have ever tasted. For more upscale options, Campomar has great shrimp and seafood, River Cafe has a delicious pesto salmon, and La Madalena has great steak, salmon, and tacos. You've made it to Vallarta with us, why not treat yourself to delicious food while exploring the town! :)

What is the attire?

The welcome dinner dress code is resort casual, and the wedding dress code is cocktail. We ask no jeans or white for the wedding on Saturday. Feel free to send us detailed questions if you'd like to text us at 713-264-1456

Is tap water safe at the hotel?

Unfortunately, tap water is not drinkable in Mexico (but fine for brushing teeth), so we highly recommend stopping by a convenience store to purchase a few large bottles of water. The welcome dinner Friday will be in the Romantic Zone of Vallarta, and we'll have many convenience stores all around. The hotel only provides two small bottles in each room, and we'll have bottles Saturday at the wedding, but please plan ahead so you can stay hydrated!

Are we going to be on the beach?

Grand Miramar is the highest point of the entire city, which means we will have beautiful views, but sadly no direct beach access. There are public beaches a short car ride away, and the hotel provides beach towels upon request.

How do I travel with a suit?

Some airlines consider garment bags as your carry-on suitcase, so make sure to read your airline's bag restrictions, or research ways to gently fold suit jackets into regular suitcases. There should be an ironing board in each room as well as closet hanging space to air out those formal outfits after travel.

General travel:

Reminder to double check your passports' expiration date and consider purchasing Mexican Pesos from your local bank as exchange rates and fees will be higher while in Mexico. Major credit cards are accepted almost everywhere, but we recommend having a backup if you only use AMEX as that is the only card that has given us trouble.

Do we need a car?

If you'd like to explore Vallarta, you can rent a car if you'd like, but we would recommend taking taxis and Ubers as they are often inexpensive.
