I was fortunate to meet Steve in elementary school, where we became fast friends. Since then, he's always been ready to help or listen if I ever needed anything. In 2012 I was fortunate enough to be his best man, and now I am thrilled to have him step up to the plate for me and Veronica's big day.
We have been through a lot together, including repairing a stuck-open passenger window on a 1993 Toyota Camry with a spare 2x4, some string, and lot of caulk.
Steve resides in Chicago with his wonderful wife Amanda. He works as an athletic trainer and spends his free time watching his favorite PBS chef, Rick Bayless.
I met Tim in kindergarten on the floor of the Kolmar Elementary School library. After I asked him his name, I made the astute observation that our names rhymed. This kicked off a life-long friendship that was forged through elementary, junior high, and high school. I don't think many people have friendships that last as long as ours has.
Tim lives in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife Annie and enjoys spending his time yelling at under-achieving Chicago sports teams. He proudly serves the U.S. Navy as an ace helicopter pilot, where he is also fortunate enough to fly the little known Navy zeppelin during special events and secret missions.
I met Jay in Mr. Trevino's math class in freshman year algebra. Fortunately for myself, Jay is a whiz at math. We have been best friends ever since, spending every weekend running around the south side in high school and a lot of time in and around Lincoln Park in our college years. Little known fact about Jay: despite his usually very positive attitude, Jay has been known to flip over entire tables when losing at board games.
Jay lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Gina, and his dog/rat/human hybrid pet, Marty.
I met Brian at a Houston Texans playoff watch party (which Veronica invited me to) in 2013. I was immediately impressed by Brian's colorful and creative string of expletives directed at then Texans quarterback, Matt Schaub. I could immediately tell we had a lot in common, and we have been great friends ever since. This is true even after I ran over Brian's iPhone in Hawaii (not on purpose). Brian lives in Houston with his wife Katie, where he spends most of his time in the backyard listening to 90's jams on Spotify.

Katie and I met about seven years ago at The Woman's Hospital of Texas on the Labor & Delivery unit. We bonded quickly after many crazy night shifts taking care of preggos and babies while discovering our shared loves of shopping, and eating delicious meals! Katie's friendship is so special to me, and I know I can count on her for any and everything. She has proven to be an amazing friend over the years and has helped me through some difficult times, as well as helped me celebrate and share in the good times. I am so excited to have her by my side!
Vannessa and I have known each other for as long as she has been alive! As cousin's we have shared so much of each other's lives, and have too many fun memories to count. She can relate with Jim in that I have been talking her ear off for the last 28 years. She put up with me as a kid when I was the bossy older cousin, like a trooper she stuck it out, and from visiting her in Ann Arbor and Seattle to vacationing in Hawaii and Vegas; we have had so many wonderful adventures together. If I had picked out my ideal cousin, I would have picked her! God knew what he was doing when he made us family.
Megan and I first met in Jr. high at St. Ambrose. We didn't get really close until we were both on the cheerleading squad. I remember many summer afternoons spent working on our jumps, and making spirit sticks for the football games, from 8th grade through most of high school we were pretty inseparable! In college we remained close taking turns visiting each other in College Station and Waco. Megan has truly been an amazing friend, she has such a kind and generous spirit. I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in her wedding, and I am so thrilled she is returning the favor!
Meredith and I met through Vannessa, but we didn't really start hanging out until well post college. Meredith is so full of life and appreciates all things both both big and small. I have learned from Meredith to enjoy every minute of life, and that there is no event too small to celebrate even a dog birthday :) She knows how to throw one heck of a party so naturally, I am so excited she will be helping me prepare for the BIG day.
