Our Wedding

To make a long story short..Boy meets girl.Girl likes boy (a little bit).Boy really likes girl.They go on some dates and text non-stop.They drink a little and laugh a lot.Girl likes boy (a little bit more now).They take some adventures.They meet families and friends.They hold hands and share kisses.They share dreams and life wishes.Boy poses question.Girl says I do. Bradford is the Best Man of the wedding, and as the striking similarities would imply,  the younger brother of the Groom. Our likeness doesn't stop with our hairstyles. Growing up, we would partner up to take on countless hours gaming, though I'm pretty sure the win ratio is in my favor. We also both entered marching band in high school, so definitely a sort of double nerd aesthetic going on. However I will say our personalities are quite different (I'm told Bradford is the more...approachable of the two of us).

Let's meet Regina Cox. The Maid of Honor and Sister of the Bride. Pretty obvious how we met, I was born and well she was already there. She was my spokesperson until I learned to talk at age 3 and then couldn't stand me because once I learned I wouldn't shut up. She didn't like me playing with her toys (she liked to throw me when I touched her race track) and as we got older she enjoyed cleaning our room on her own so she could throw away all of my toys. Of course I was super jealous of her athletic ability and tried to follow her around with all of her friends but pretty sure she didn't like me very much considering she often used her strength to throw me to the ground, or twist my arms or slam doors on my finger (side note: one year for my birthday she was asked to take me swimming and her birthday gift to me was to throw me in the pool for every year I was born even after I was crying and yelling for her to stop -- so yeah that was our sisterly love to start). So we started as sisters and then she finally moved out of the house so we could become friends. Literally the moment she left the house is when became the best of friends. From celebrating NYEs together to family Halloween parties. From walks/runs in the parks with the kids to vacations and much more. Even thousands of miles of part now we still know exactly what the other is doing at almost any given moment of time. There's was never a doubt in my mind that she would be my maid of honor and I wouldn't want to do this whole marriage thing without her by my side.

Though we initially met in our high school's anime club (two years apart), Leroy and I truly started to bond. Through many late nights of hookah and talking about businesses and ideas, Leroy has truly become someone I can confide in.  Much of the music I use to get work done comes from genres like Lofi and Vaporwave that Leroy introduced me to, so perhaps I owe some of the credit for my work to him?

Introducing Mrs. Rosie. Rosie and I formed our first bond playing a game of tips in basketball practice, and our friendship has only blossomed from then on. We took on the streets of downtown Madison with style. From our tiny apartment with a bat scare to an upgraded westside "mansion," life living together was always an adventure. Rosie teaches me to live fearlessly, and I'm happy to have my bestie by my side on wedding day.

Elizabeth and I have been through countless adventures since the days of early high school. Though it started with many conventions and hangouts with the anime club, we would both explore our creative sides by acting in a few plays during college.  Over the years, our journeys to expand into the life of being artist has taken in so many different directions, yet being able to depend on each other's support never changes.

Time to meet the lovely Mary. I met Mary my freshman year of Highschool as we both played on the JV basketball team. Her sense of humor and love of ice cream created our ever lasting friendship. Living together we learned the best combo of fun included crash racing, burpees and drinks! Mary teaches me how to live with balance, how to have fun and go with the flow. I couldn't imagine not having my best friend next to me to keep me in the moment to enjoy my wedding day.

In the monotony of retail work, Will and I formed a life long friendship. All it took was one conversation about video games while we were both working at Steinmart to set things in motion.  Many of my favorite fictional worlds, be it games or books, are recommendations from this guy. Even as we navigate the tedious intricacies of 30's life, it's always reassuring to work things out over some coffee or tennis with Will.

Now to present Aubrey Liddell! All friendships seem to start with basketball, and that is no different for Aubrey and I. Aubrey was well on her way to be the star of the JV team until I snuck in to give her a run for the title. We bonded over our similar personalities of confidence, stubbornness and drive. Aubrey was always the one who seemed to have life figured out and fearlessly left us all behind while she thrived in Vegas. Aubrey is the perfect host who will show you out on the town and get the best food but the best times are always just chillin' on the couch being lazy. Aubrey teaches me how to always strive for better, to ask questions and to be confident. I couldn't have a wedding without her by my side to make sure everything is flawless.

As Leroy's younger brother, it was only a matter of time before the Brandon & Brandon connection was made. It didn't take long for us to become fast friends, able to both party to all ours of the night, and wake up early (begrudgingly) to work out. Having a friend like "Young" Brandon is very exciting indeed. His questionable archive of memes and developing photography career bring an inspiring sort of light to any conversation.

Now to introduce Brittany. Sister of the Groom. Soon to be sister-in-law and I couldn't be happier to gain another sister. Brandon's memory of them growing up was simple, he was the nerd in band, and she was the cool one in dance, and well I can see that! I remember first meeting Brittany and just feeling comfortable talking to her, like long time friends. Brittany has such a big, overflowing personality that just makes her fun to be around, and getting to know her over the last few years has been a blast. I can't wait for our relationship to grow as we become sisters for life and both Brandon and I are so lucky to have her by our sides (and to keep the fun alive) on our wedding day.

There has been a room block reserved at the Glacier Canyon for our Wedding Guests. How to Reserve a Room: All Guests must call 1-800-867-9453 and state they are with the Cox -Smith Wedding at Glacier Canyon Lodge, Leader #853752. There is no option to book online to receive the group pricing. Room Rates: We have two different room types in our reservation block. Prices vary based on Room Type (see below). For the Standard Double Queen Couch Glacier Canyon Lodge: Rooms will be $109/Friday Night &amp; $125/Saturday Night. Rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 12.25%) in effect at the time of check in, and a taxable $24.95 nightly Resort fee, or current prevailing fee if changed. These rooms have two queen beds and a sofa sleeper. The rooms sleep up to 6 guests. For the 2 Bedroom Deluxe Condominium: Rooms will be $160/Friday Night &amp; $180/Saturday Night. Rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 12.25%) in effect at the time of check in, and a taxable $24.95 nightly Resort fee, or current prevailing fee if changed. These rooms have two bedrooms (Bedroom 1: King size Bed, Bedroom 2: Bunkbed with Queen on bottom and Twin on Top). They also have Living room with Murphy Bed (queen), dining area and full Kitchen. Sleeps 7. Deadline to Reserve a Room: Guests must call in for reservations by Wednesday, September 1, 2021. For our guests flying to the wedding, Chicago ORD is typically the cheapest airport. We recommend flying into Chicago and driving to Wisconsin Dells. Distance: ORD is a 2.5 hour drive to Wisconsin Dells. Car Rental: https://www.flychicago.com/ohare/tofrom/rentalcar/pages/default.aspx Things to Know: When driving to Wisconsin Dells from Chicago, there will be tolls. Please ensure to either buy a toll pass or pay the tolls online within a week. We would recommend paying the tolls online, it is an easy process and typically cheaper than paying daily for a toll pass from the rental cars.

Family and Friends, due to the continuation of COVID we have decided to put in place Covid rules for our wedding. With this being a large gathering of our loved ones, we want to ensure we party in the safest way possible. In order to safely enjoy the wedding activities, we will be asking&nbsp;all guests to provide either proof of COVID vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hrs. of the wedding. As an added safety measure, we highly encourage vaccinated people to also get tested. For any guest that is UNABLE to get tested prior to the wedding AND is NOT vaccinated, we ask that you wear a mask while indoors to protect yourself and others. We hope you all understand and kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping everybody safe.
