A Update: The Travel Page has now been updated with more information about the speedboat to and from the hotel!
A: Getting a car is completely optional. There are great public transportation options and you can get from the airport to the hotel by train/bus, and then boat if you time it right! There will be a bus from the hotel to the church on the day of the wedding, so we'd recommend staying at the hotel on Friday and Saturday evening.
Q: I'm planning on coming to Norway for a longer trip along with the wedding, what should we do?
A: If you're planning on coming for a week or two we'd recommend the following.
If you're planning to be in Norway for some time before the wedding you should fly into Oslo and spend a day or two in the capitol. This is great if you like museums and restaurants. From there you should take a rental car and drive through the southern parts of Norway making sure to stop at some of the well known places. You can find more ideas on many travel blogs and here's a great place to start: https://norway.nordicvisitor.com/travel-guide/
Q: Are Children Allowed at the Wedding?
A: For our guests traveling a long distance we certainly understand that it can be challenging to find childcare for your young one(s). We would be happy to have them join in the celebrations. We truly wish we could invite all our guests’ children to our wedding however we are only able to invite the children of those traveling a long distance.
Q: What meals will be provided?
A Update: We will provide a lunch wrap for guests who are staying at the hotel on Friday evening and traveling to the Church from the Hotel.
A: We will host the Welcome Dinner on Friday at the hotel in a private room of the restaurant. Alcohol at the Welcome Dinner or the Bar afterwards is on your own.
Guests who stay the night at the hotel on Friday will receive hotel breakfast on Saturday.
Lunch on Saturday before the wedding will be on your own, but we will serve appetizers after the ceremony and before dinner.
Later in the evening we will have a hot dog bar in case you worked up an appetite from dancing all night. For guests staying at the hotel there will again be breakfast on Sunday morning.
