Downtown has something for everyone any time of day. It's more of an historic downtown, and a great place to walk around - especially Big Spring Park. Here's a few places that we enjoy.
Our usual haunt that serves as a coffee shop when you want to get going and as a brewery with live music when you're ready to slow down.
Another coffee shop of which we're regulars. This one boasts some of the best baked goods you can get.
If you're looking for a sweet treat to walk around with, we love stopping here for gelato. We're also known to carry out a pizza to take to Green Bus just down the street.
A tea shop that, over the last decade, has gotten half the city addicted. They serve their tea either hot or iced.

This is by far the main attraction in Huntsville. Tickets are $40, so if you're willing to spend for them, it's a very worthwhile visit.
Note: The Saturn V rocket outside is not technically real, but there is a real (mildly disassembled) one that can be seen hanging above you in the museum.
This is a former-mill-turned-art-space. It's home to over 150 studios and galleries, as well as a handful of eateries.
Ever wanted to sneak behind your high school bleachers for a drink? At Campus 805, they removed the bleachers entirely and replaced them with fermenting tanks. This converted Junior High School is home to breweries, bars, and arcades.
Huntsville is a the tail end of the Appalachians, and as such we have a good deal of hiking opportunities around the city.
