Vic & Derek met at uOttawa in 2015. Vic was playing for the Varsity Women's Soccer Team while Derek was quarterback for the Men's Football Team. Derek asked Victoria on a date via Facebook Messenger after watching one of her soccer games, and the next day they met for coffee on campus. It was love at first sight (for Derek) while Vic had some warming up to do . This pic was taken at their first uOttawa Gee-Gees Banquet together. Derek won MVP!

Vic arrives back home from winning the World Indigenous Games on Team Canada just in time for a friend's wedding! The gold medal was a beaded medallion.

Derek moved to Florida for NFL Combine training and Vic went to visit for a couple of weeks.

Vic & Derek move to Montreal. Derek becomes a Professional Football Coach with the Montreal Alouettes, and they enjoy living in Le Plateau & Westmount. Also cue the arrival of their furry daughter, Charlotte aka 'Charlie'.

Vic & Derek's Baby Shower in Ottawa. We were spoiled with three baby showers where our closest friends and family celebrated the near arrival of Beau. Vic found out she was pregnant at 7 weeks, when they were living in Montreal. She started having food aversions and intense nausea that lasted the first two trimesters. You didn't see a lot of Vic in those months, haha.

Our good friend Rob Greeley took maternity photos a FEW DAYS before Vic's water broke! She was a few weeks early giving birth to Beau, who weighed 8 lbs 3 oz.

The birth of our baby boy. The largest milestone as a couple was welcoming our little Makons into our lives and the lives of our families.

Vic & Derek have driven across Canada too many times to count. They recently returned from a 2 month long trip to California & BC where they adventured with Beau, and their Golden Doodle, Ozzy. On this trip, they watched a Golden State Warriors Playoff Game, trekked the Tofino Rain Forest, Vic played in three soccer tournaments (winning MVP and First Place), some NWSL soccer games, camped along the Californian Coast, and made memories to last a lifetime.
