The Hampton Inn & Suites Smithfield is recommended for those trying to stay close to the wedding venue. A block of rooms is reserved under "Meyer/Parrish Wedding." Additionally, a shuttle will run between the hotel and the venue before and after the wedding/reception. Smithfield, VA is located in close proximity to several other Hampton Roads communities, including Norfolk, Suffolk, and Williamsburg for those seeking alternate lodging.

Arrangements have been made with Williamsburg Chauffeur Service for shuttle busses to and from the venue. One shuttle will leave from the Smithfield Station and one will leave from the Hampton Inn & Suites. Departure times for both locations are 2:45 and 3:25 PM. We encourage guests to use the earlier bus! There will be an area to relax at New Branch Farms prior to the ceremony. For after the festivities, shuttle buses will run continuously from 10 PM to midnight, returning guests to both hotels. Guests not staying at Smithfield Station or Hampton Inn & Suites are welcome to use the shuttle buses at either location. There is plenty of parking at New Branch Farms for those who wish to drive, and you may keep you vehicle overnight but we kindly ask you retrieve it by 11 AM the next morning, July 6th. In the small town of Smithfield, Uber and Lyft are unreliable. If you chose these services, we strongly recommend you schedule a ride in advance

We won't sugarcoat it - July in Virginia is HOT! Rain dependent, the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside, while the reception will be indoors. Don't worry, though, the ceremony will be short and sweet, the reception hall is fully air-conditioned, and plenty of refreshments will be provided to help us all brave the sun.

Cocktail attire is encouraged for all guests. Due to the warmer July temperatures, coat and tie are not required. We want everyone to look nice but be as comfortable as possible! Members of the military are welcome to wear their dress uniform if desired.

Single-Pringles are encouraged to bring a plus-one! Please include them on your RSVP. Unfortunately, due to the limited space, we ask children stay home unless they are on the invite.
