It all started at Larsen Middle School..

We were barely acquaintances, but the beginning of our story started side by side in our graduation line.

Although we weren't actually friends until after Sajan hit his growth spurt, Vidhi was very close with Sajan's cousins at Elgin High. As our high school friend groups took their own paths in college, we weren’t quite sure what the future held—but we were hopeful. Fortunately, our mutual friend group continued to hang out consistently throughout those years, and that's where our friendship independent of the group really started to grow.

Over countless messenger chats and video-calls, we built a bond rooted in sarcastic humor, unwavering support, and mutual respect. As the months turned into years, we found in each other a best friend, a lifelong travel partner, and our forever person.

After 5 years of dating, Sajan proposed at a beautiful lily pool in Lincoln Park. Fast forward almost 2 years -- here we are planning the best party of our lives, and we cannot wait to tie the knot!

On July 12, we will begin our next chapter, surrounded by the people we love most. We are so excited for you to join us as we celebrate the story that brought us here!
