A small note about this one: I had made a joke about doing our photos like that painting of the farmer and his wife (American Gothic by Grant Wood) to two separate friends and felt like we needed to include a parody after that.

We had our rings made for us at Hendrickson's Jewelers, but Vi's has a special history: My grandmother gave me her old engagemnt ring to wear while our jeweler designed them for us, and the gold and gem from her ring were used to make my ring. I'm so excited to have a part of my mom's family as part of my ring, especially since my grandfather can't be there to see my big day.

All our men in the wedding party will be wearing bowties and suspenders in homage to my grandpa; this is the bowtie Khayman has picked out!
