How do we get in contact with you?
If you don't have the phone numbers of any of the wedding party or their family, please contact us at this email: edelweiss24601@gmail.com
Where is the venue?
The venue is Water's Edge. The address is 287 E Lake Shore Dr. Eagle, ID 83616. It's off of Eagle Road, between Chinden and State Street.
What is the dress code?
Semi-formal. Wear something nice, but tuxedos and evening dresses are not required unless you really want to wear them. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR PERFUMES OR COLOGNES. It can trigger debilitating migraines in the bride and man of honor (hemiplegic, in his case), and can trigger severe allergic reactions in our other bridesmaid. (Seriously, we would rather avoid going to the hospital, if at all possible).
Does your wedding have a theme?
The decor is going to be autumn-themed, but you can wear whatever colors you like.
What will the weather be like?
We will try to update the forecast as we get closer to the wedding, but usually mid-October tends to be in the 50's or 60's, with a chance of wind and rain. Bring a jacket.
Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outside on the (covered) patio unless it rains, in which case it will be inside the building and we will need to do a brief changeover to make it reception-friendly. If it doesn't rain, we will go straight inside to the reception area.
What will the wedding day timeline look like?
This is our rough timeline: 5:00 pm - doors open; 5:30 - guests arrive; 6:00 - ceremony begins, 6:20-6:30 - ceremony ends, and the reception begins (bride and groom will be taking photos); 7:00-7:15 - announcement of the new couple and first dance; 7:30 - dinner; 8:00 - toasts; 8:30 - cake cutting; 9:00 - bouquet and garter toss; 9:15 - last dance, and we bid our guests farewell.
What time should I arrive?
Doors will be open at 5pm, please arrive around 5:30 pm.
When will the reception end?
Last dance will be around 9:15, we will try to have everyone out the door by 9:30 so that we can have take down the decorations and be out of the venue by midnight.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes! It's free and right next to the building.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
Yep! There is handicap parking, and both the ceremony and reception area are wheelchair accessible. The bathrooms also have a handicap stall. Please let us know if you need further accommodation.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes. Our wedding will be child-friendly (although alcohol will be served). You are also welcome to find a sitter and have a night out if you would rather, but we will be happy to have you either way!
Can I bring a plus-one?
Most of the invites we sent out, we tried to include any known plus-ones, but if you would like to inquire further, please contact the email listed earlier on this page.
What type of food and drink will be served?
Dinner will be roasted herb chicken and potatoes, multicolor carrots, salmon with a pineapple glaze on the side, rolls, and Greek vinegrette salad. We are aware of many of our guests allergens including gluten, dairy, soy, nuts, and corn. We will have a gluten free, vegan vanilla cake, as well as regular mini cupcakes for dessert in a variety of flavors. Water, iced tea, and lemonade will be available for drinks, and there will be a bar available.
Will there be a bar?
Yes. We have a partial bar with Ste Chapelle Huckleberry wine and Moscow Mules made with Tito's available at no charge, and a cash bar if you would prefer something else.
Can I take pictures at the Ceremony/Reception and post on social meida?
Please do! Tag us in them afterwards so that we can save them as well, or email them to the email above. We will have a photographer, but would love to have any extra photo and video as well.
Do you have a wedding hashtag?
We do not, as neither of us use hashtags.
Do you have a registry?
We do, with links in the registry tab on this site. We have a registry with Amazon, as well as a link to donate to our new house fund.
Can we bring gifts to the wedding?
While your presence will be enough of a gift by itself, should you wish to bring one, there will be a gift table. We will also have a wishing well, to help with moving expenses for when we move to Salem, OR in 2024/2025.
What hotels and other accommodations are available?
Check out the Travel tab on this site! We have a list of hotels near the airport, between the airport and bride and groom's house, between the venue and bride and groom's house, and near the venue, with a variety of price ranges for whatever you prefer.
What travel accommodations will be available?
If you are flying in and are unable to rent a car (or are otherwise without transport), please let us know and we will try to work with you to get transportation to the wedding site.
How will you communicate last minute updates?
Should we have any last minute updates or concerns, or should have to postpone, we will post updates on this site, as well as contact as many people by phone and email as possible.
