After meeting in a Snapchat group of incoming freshman at Drury, we decided to go on a date and meet each other in person for the first time. On our first date we played mini golf in Columbia, MO (halfway between our parents' homes), went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch, got Andy's and went on a hike through the woods.

Throughout college, Jolie threw javelin for Drury Track and Field and Wesley pitched for Drury's baseball team. We spent much of our college time supporting one another through our seasons (and even more so during pre-seasons). Through our sports, we were able to meet some of our lifelong friends.

We were neighbors on our college campus for our freshman year, sophomore year and junior year.

The most important part of our story is our growth and dedication to our faith. We went to church together at Hill City, college ministries including The Vine and The Vision as well as going to the Passion Conference in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. From all of these ministries as well as our own discipleship relationships, small bible studies, church classes and individual study we have grown a lot in our relationship with God and with one another. These ministries and practices have helped to equip us to serve God and one another better. God also used these biblical communities to provide us with some of our best friends who have helped guide us and our relationship to be more godly.

Wesley proposed in VENICE, it was so perfect and surreal. The entire dinner following the proposal consisted of staring at the ring and repeating how shocked and excited we are to be getting married.
