We met, we joked, we pretended not to like each other that much… and then suddenly, we were inseparable. Somewhere between awkward small talk and “wait, do we just get each other?”—a love story quietly began to unfold.

Although we didn’t know each other well growing up, we both remember crossing paths at church and youth events over the years. When we eventually ended up in the same college class at church—a tight-knit group—it didn’t take long for us to really get to know each other. We quickly became close friends.

There were texts, laughs, inside jokes, and a growing sense that this might be something more. Eventually, we both had the same realization: “Oh no… this might be it.” (Even if one of us caught on a little later than the other.)

Thankfully, we were right.
