David and Whitney met online on a dating app called Hinge. They are both very thankful they "swiped right!" Whitney and David met up for some epically long dates - going to breweries, getting sushi, and bar hopping. After a few dates Whitney got "cold feet," but David asked to remain friends, and they did! They went out for sushi and David asked Whitney to join his bowling team. David's stellar bowling skills must have really caught Whitney's attention and the flirtation began! The bowling team agreed to head to another bar one night after bowling, but little did Whitney know - it was all a ploy just to get Whitney and David together again alone - nobody showed up! From there David took a trip to Maine over Memorial Day Weekend and Whitney attended the wedding of a friend in Maryland and then headed home to PA. Whitney and David talked almost every day on the phone. Upon them both returning back to Cincinnati, Whitney asked David on what she considered a "second, first date" at Ghost Baby, an underground speakeasy, which David didn't realize was a "date" until halfway through! From there they begin dating regularly and David officially asked Whitney to be his girlfriend on July 16, 2021 outside of Little Miami Brewery in the rain. Whitney and David moved in together almost exactly one year later. David was worried it was too soon but now he realizes it was perfect! They've lived together ever since in Covington, KY and now are getting married just a few blocks away!
