Our Wedding

Our love story started on December 9, 2020, at Eight Row Flint in Houston, TX. Whitney had only been in Houston for a week, on a travel nursing assignment, and Jody had recently moved to the city for work. That night, we were meeting up with friends for what we thought would be just a casual night out to celebrate—with no clue that the other would be there. Somewhere between the food and the laughter, we found something unexpected: each other.Funny enough, we actually went to the same high school… but he didn’t remember me. (Don’t worry—he didn't make that mistake twice!)Before leaving the restaurant, Jody asked for Whitney's number and made sure to confirm that she made it in safely that night. From that moment on, things just clicked. Our conversations never ran out, our laughter came easy, and even the ordinary moments started to feel pretty extraordinary. We built a love rooted in strong communication, spontaneous trips, shared bottles of wine, and an effortlessly comfortable connection.After a few months, Jody made things official at a winery in California. Fast forward a few more years—and in the most beautiful twist of fate—he proposed in Napa Valley, during the weekend of our friend’s wedding. The same friends who invited us to Eight Row Flint four years earlier.Now here we are, saying yes to forever—proving that what’s meant to be will always find its way.
