What to Expect in terms of Weather and Altitude

While you're admiring the beauty of a picturesque mountain lake toward the end of April, be sure to have water nearby at all times. The change in altitude will affect every guest, some more than others, and drinking water is the best way to help your body adjust.

Layering your clothes is the name of the game in a Colorado mountain town! The sun will be hot, hot, hot, but the snow and the wind will still be cold. You'll find yourself wanting to add and remove layers multiple times throughout the day. Be sure to bring your favorite jacket, a pair of sturdy shoes, and your coziest pajamas!

**Alcohol may have a stronger effect at higher altitudes.

What to Expect in terms of Environment

Expect to camp glamorously at Arapaho Valley Ranch! You will be surrounded by deep woods, lush trees, Colorado mountain wildlife, and a glorious view of Lake Granby. The Ranch is tucked in the Arapaho National Forest, a 30 minute drive along the lake from Granby, Colorado.

Due to the location, there will be a decent lack of cell phone reception, and we recommend a vehicle you feel comfortable driving on a maintained, but unpaved road. Be prepared to fully unplug, and relax in the tranquility of a secluded rustic get away!

**William and Luke will be hosting a buffet style dinner on the evening of April 20th, 2024, please plan to supplement the rest of your provisions for the duration of your travels.**
