Let’s start by saying...when you least expect to meet someone...you meet someone…

We met August of 2020 on the Sugar River back in Wisconsin hosted by a mutual friend. Neither one of us had any intentions of meeting someone that day. After small conversations throughout the day and lots of flirty eyes we became Facebook friends and that’s how it all started!!!

Nick was moving to Colorado at the end of September and told Will not to catch feelings but let’s remain friends and hang out as much as we can until he moves. And we did just that. Will being from Wisconsin and Nick from Rockford we both traveled back and forth to spend time together until Nick moved.

Will attended Nick’s going way party in Rockford and by the amount of people that were there and all the loved that was shown, it showcased how much Nick was loved and will be missed.

Fast forward to November, I needed to use up some PTO so Nick invited me out to Colorado! We had a blast that week, hiking and experiencing things I never imagined. I knew from that trip that I had fallen for Nick and he was the one. He was starting a new life in Colorado and my whole life is established in Wisconsin but I knew Wisconsin was no longer the place for me…

February came and we are experiencing Covid, the whole world was at a stand still and lock down. Nick came home to Rockford for a few days and as soon as we could we got together and it felt so good… a few days later he called me and said “ I’m leaving back to Colorado on Saturday and I think you should come back with me” “like for a few days I replied “ he said “no, for good…The ball is in your court let me know I leave Saturday” I literally hung up the phone paced my apartment for what felt like hours I called my job and quit, I called my mom and told her I was moving, My bestfriend Angela came over packed my car that Friday, I met Nick Saturday morning in Madison and our journey began at that very moment!

4 of July 2024 Will proposed to Nick under a sky full of fireworks and that leads us up to this very special day!!
