Our Wedding

Let’s start by saying...when you least expect to meet someone...you meet someone… We met August of 2020 on the Sugar River back in Wisconsin hosted by a mutual friend. Neither one of us had any intentions of meeting someone that day. After small conversations throughout the day and lots of flirty eyes we became Facebook friends and that’s how it all started!!!Nick was moving to Colorado at the end of September and told Will not to catch feelings but let’s remain friends and hang out as much as we can until he moves. And we did just that. Will being from Wisconsin and Nick from Rockford we both traveled back and forth to spend time together until Nick moved.Will attended Nick’s going way party in Rockford and by the amount of people that were there and all the loved that was shown, it showcased how much Nick was loved and will be missed.Fast forward to November, I needed to use up some PTO so Nick invited me out to Colorado! We had a blast that week, hiking and experiencing things I never imagined. I knew from that trip that I had fallen for Nick and he was the one. He was starting a new life in Colorado and my whole life is established in Wisconsin but I knew Wisconsin was no longer the place for me…February came and we are experiencing Covid, the whole world was at a stand still and lock down. Nick came home to Rockford for a few days and as soon as we could we got together and it felt so good… a few days later he called me and said “ I’m leaving back to Colorado on Saturday and I think you should come back with me” “like for a few days I replied “ he said “no, for good…The ball is in your court let me know I leave Saturday” I literally hung up the phone paced my apartment for what felt like hours I called my job and quit, I called my mom and told her I was moving, My bestfriend Angela came over packed my car that Friday, I met Nick Saturday morning in Madison and our journey began at that very moment!4 of July 2024 Will proposed to Nick under a sky full of fireworks and that leads us up to this very special day!!

Please be aware that I-70 runs from Denver through the Rocky Mountains on your way to Rancho. We recommend planning for extra time as traffic WILL back up as it crosses the various mountain ranges. Your GPS will tell you 2 hours from Denver to Rancho, but be advised 3 1/2 hours is a realistic window, especially for those not accustomed to mountain driving. Directions: Rancho Del Rio is about 3 hours West of Denver in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. FROM DENVER- Take I-70 West to Silverthorne (Exit #205). Right at the light. Go North on CO-9 for approximately 33 miles toward Kremmling. Just before Kremmling, turn left (West) on Trough Rd. (Grand County Rt #1) (2 miles past Second animal Bridge) Follow the (dirt) road for 19 miles. Rancho Del Rio is on the right. ! YOU WILL LOSE SERVICE. SCREENSHOT DIRECTIONS !

Welcome to Rancho del Rio, our host for the weekend festivities: Check In/Meet &amp; GreetWhitewater RaftingHikingCampingCeremonyReception We encourage all of our family and friends to book accommodations through Rancho as most of the weekend will take place at there. This is not your standard campground, it is one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL places you will ever visit. It is a part of our love story, and we hope to share this experience with you present. The weather does get chilly at night and pretty warm during the day given it’s a early summer wedding. Layers to stay warm and bathing suits for water fun recommended. Bring your own tents and camping gear. E-Z ups are also recommended, the sun can get pretty hot and it’s an open campground with few shade shelters. Campsites do not have running water. Please bring some for yourselves to stay hydrated! We have 1/2 of the campground dedicated for our wedding party, family and friends. When booking please select "wedding" and list Lanphear/Valdivia so that we can ensure you are in our part of the campground.
