Winnie found Josh on Bumble and swiped right because he had a cute dog and good looking family. Josh doesn't do brunch, but showed up anyways to a first date in Covington, KY. Brunch led to drinks and walking up and down the Mainstrasse and finally ended 8 hours later.

Five months later, Winnie invited Josh to take a trip to Morocco over Christmas 2019 before she continued to a work trip in Malawi. They had a blast exploring ancient cities, riding camels, and sleeping in the Sahara desert. During the next few months, they stayed in touch through spotty wifi and WhatsApp and picked right back up when she returned.

Over the next year, they endured a pandemic, adopted two new puppies (Gus and Milo), moved to Pittsburgh, and moved in together. They had a great time exploring the Steel City and making new friends.

Josh proposed at a scenic overlook in December 2022. In the days leading up to the proposal, a bomb cyclone entered the region and dropped the temperature to historic lows. She still said yes.

Josh and Winnie are so excited for their upcoming adventures including moving to Virginia and starting a new job (Winnie). They hope you can join them to celebrate in Italy!
