While it may seem that Xio hangs around just because of the cute baby, that's not entirely the case. Xiomara met Elissa fall of 2010 when they both relocated to Miami. She has Ryan, fellow Teach for America alumni and Elissa's husband, to thank for the introduction. Years of small group accountability, Disney trips, watching college sports games, and planning epic potlucks with friends has solidified them into the compadres they are today. Matt and Robbie met back in 2005 as classmates in an intro Physics course, acting class, and orchestra. The semester rounded off with the pair being roommates during a music trip to Italy. Somewhere between the 20-some classes together, playing bluegrass, programming circuits, the occasional soccer game, and the constant shared struggle of making it through four years of a Physics degree, they became very close friends. During their time abroad, they were able to spend a week together in Egypt where they bonded over such memorable events as snorkeling the Red Sea and then some unexpected experiences like spending a night on a street in Cairo. A little known fact is that Matt and Robbie are the winning team that has not (yet) been selected to compete on the Amazing Race.
