Our Wedding

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO PORTUGAL? There is no set timeframe of when you should arrive or how long you should stay for. Please feel free to use this trip as an opportunity to have your summer holiday or just a short break. WHERE SHOULD I STAY? Please book your own accommodation for the length of time you plan on staying. Please see our "<a href="https://www.theknot.com/us/yana-karpeeva-and-adam-fox-may-2025/where-to-stay" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Where to Stay</a>" section. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? While it is a garden summer event, it is still a wedding. We ask you to keep your attire elegant and formal, as you would for a wedding in Ireland. Please, no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts. USEFUL TIP To visit our website in the future, simply Google "Yana and Adam wedding Portugal" and it will appear in your search results. I AM VEGAN, WHAT SHOULD I DO? Congratulations! You probably already told us, but please let us know your dietary requirements when you RSVP or contact us directly. We’ve got you covered! Our venue can accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs to ensure everyone enjoys the celebration. FOOD &amp; DRINK There will be plenty of food and drink don't worry! We are pleased to announce that we will have an open bar available for the day until around 12-1 AM. After this time, drinks may be purchased at the bar, which will remain open until 2:00 AM. ARE CHILDREN INVITED TO THE WEDDING? Our wedding is an adults only event. We understand that some of you will be travelling with kids and we have a list of recommended childcare services for the day of the wedding, please contact us if you require these services. You are more than welcome to bring the kids to our Day Two celebration. ADDITIONAL GUESTS We are limited with numbers for our wedding day. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional guests who were not specifically invited. However, if any additional guests/children are travelling with you, they are most welcome for our Day Two, and we would love to see them! Please let us know. CAN I TAKE PICTURES AND SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA DURING THE EVENT? You are more than welcome to take pictures and post them on social media throughout the day. Please share these with us, as it will take our photographer up to 6 months to finalise our photos. However, during the ceremony, we kindly ask for an unplugged moment to make it truly special. DAY TWO For day two, we invite you to join us at The Brewery, an Irish pub located in Vilamoura Marina, for food, drinks, and late-night dancing. Dress for a night out (out out!) and prepare your dancing shoes. Food and a few drinks will be provided. LOCAL HAIRDRESSERS/MAKE-UP ARTISTS Please see a list of local hairdressers and make-up artists. Flights Closest Airport: Faro AirportYou can also fly to Seville in Spain and get a bus or transfer from there. <a href="https://www.aerlingus.com/html/en-IE/home.html" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Aer Lingus</a>&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ryanair.com/ie/en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ryanair</a>&nbsp;have regular flights to Faro from Dublin. Airport Transfer TaxiThere is a taxi rank at Faro airport, however, it can be quite expensive. We recommend using the following options instead. Uber/Bolt Uber and Bolt are your go-to Taxi apps for The Algarve, and it is highly recommended to have downloaded these before you travel. This is the cheapest and easiest method of getting around Algarve. Transfers Yellowfish transfers are very good value and highly recommended:<a href="https://www.yellowfishtransfers.com/en/home" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.yellowfishtransfers.com/en/home</a> Car Hire It is quite easy to drive around Algarve (I've done it twice myself, if I can do it, anyone can!). Debit cards or someone else's credit cards generally cannot be used for this deposit.

Travel

We recommend staying in Vilamoura, a vibrant and beautiful area boasting some of the most impressive beaches of the Algarve. We are going to be based in this area, and this is where we plan to hold our Day Two celebrations. However, please do suit yourselves in selecting the area best suited to you. If you prefer, you can also stay in the nearby towns: -Albufeira - approx. 15 minutes to our wedding venue-Vale Do Lobo - approx. 30 minutes to our wedding venue-Gale - approx. 30 minutes to our wedding venue- Carvoeiro - approx. 30 minutes to our wedding venue Please note, we will be providing transportation on the day to and from the wedding venue, leaving from&nbsp;Vilamoura. If you would prefer to make your own way to the venue, please let us know and we can provide the exact address. The wedding venue is easy accessible by Uber. In Vilamoura you have the option to stay at either the Marina or the Old Village - both beautiful locations. The Marina is home to many restaurants and bars, while the Old Village is a beautiful and peaceful area, just a 6 minute taxi to the marina. Where to Stay

The Venue We are holding our reception and ceremony in a beautiful garden venue. This is a private venue in the Portuguese countryside and will be exclusively ours for the day. Please note that the venue is not a hotel and does not provide on-site accommodation. Guests will need to arrange their own accommodation. Please refer to the <a href="https://www.theknot.com/us/yana-karpeeva-and-adam-fox-may-2025/where-to-stay" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Where to Stay</a> section.

Getting to the Venue We will arrange transfers to and from Vilamoura to the venue. Details on meeting points and times will be provided closer to the date. If you prefer to travel independently, please let us know, and we will provide the exact address. Should you wish to leave earlier or make your own way back, Ubers and taxis are readily available and reasonably priced. The venue is just 15 minutes from Albufeira and 25 minutes from Vilamoura. For those who choose to drive, free parking is available at the venue.

The Ceremony The ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM. We kindly ask that guests arrive and be seated by 2:45 PM. Cocktail Hour: Following the ceremony, we will enjoy drinks and finger foods. Dinner: Dinner will be served at approximately 6:00 PM. Music and Dancing: After dinner, we will have live music from a band and a DJ to dance the night away. Late-Night Snacks: To keep the energy levels up and celebration going, late-night snacks will be available. Bar: We plan to provide drinks and refreshments throughout the day and have an open bar until around 12-1 AM. After that, the bar will remain open until 2:00 AM for guests who wish to purchase more drinks. The venue will close at 2:00 AM.

Venue Details Both the ceremony and dinner will be held outdoors in the garden. If it rains, then the event will be held in the marquee. The ceremony will take place on the grass; however, the bar and dance floor will be indoors and set up within a marquee with a normal floor surface for your comfort. There will be plenty of shaded areas outdoors and additional seating located within an air-conditioned marquee. We look forward to celebrating this special day with you!
