You can also fly to Seville in Spain and get a bus or transfer from there.

Aer Lingus & Ryanair have regular flights to Faro from Dublin.

There is a taxi rank at Faro airport, however, it can be quite expensive. We recommend using the following options instead.

Uber/Bolt

Uber and Bolt are your go-to Taxi apps for The Algarve, and it is highly recommended to have downloaded these before you travel. This is the cheapest and easiest method of getting around Algarve.

Car Hire

It is quite easy to drive around Algarve (I've done it twice myself, if I can do it, anyone can!).

We recommend using booking.com to search for your car rental.

Please be aware that the majority of rental companies will require you to present a physical credit card in the main driver's name. Debit cards are generally not accepted.

Additionally, please note that if you purchased insurance through an online broker rather than directly with the rental company, you will need to pay a deposit upon arrival with the credit card used for the reservation. Debit cards or someone else's credit cards generally cannot be used for this deposit.
