Our Wedding

Young Jin left Seoul at the age of 10 and found himself in Vancouver, where he quickly learned that rain was a personality trait and umbrellas were a necessity. He spent his childhood there, making lifelong friends and memories before eventually settling in New Jersey. There, he built his career, became a proud dog dad, and most importantly, met Heewon—though he didn’t know at the time that she’d be the one to teach him about interior design and proper skincare routines. Meanwhile, Heewon grew up in the lively coastal city of Busan, where the food is spicy, the energy is electric, and the accent is unmistakable. Her passion for design took her to New York, where she pursued her master’s in interior design and built a life full of creativity. Though their worlds were literally an ocean apart, fate (or perhaps just a really well-timed night out) brought them together. One evening in New York’s Koreatown, their paths finally crossed, and an instant connection sparked. Their first date, however, was a bit… unexpected. Heewon, dressed to impress and ready for a fancy dinner, was met with Young Jin’s bold choice: a no-frills lobster shack. Instead of candlelight and wine, there were plastic bibs and mallets. But somewhere between cracking shells, dodging flying lobster juice, and Young Jin giving a questionable tutorial on lobster hammering, they realized—this was actually a lot of fun. That messy, chaotic night turned into the first of many adventures together, proving that love isn’t always about grand gestures—it’s about laughter, unexpected moments, and finding someone who will still think you’re cute even when you’re covered in lobster butter.
