Tips for travel
Which airport should I fly into, and how do I get to my accommodation? Do I need a visa?
Both Seoul and Busan have international airports, but we recommend flying into Seoul’s Incheon International Airport (ICN) first—it’s a great chance to explore the city for a few days before heading to Busan for the wedding. If you're short on time, flying directly into Busan a few days before the wedding is the better option.
For U.S. and Canadian citizens, no visa is required for short stays in South Korea, but be sure to check your country’s specific entry requirements before your trip. Summer is a busy travel season, so we highly recommend booking your flights as early as you can to lock in the best rates!
What’s the best way to get to Busan from Seoul?
The easiest and fastest way to get from Seoul to Busan is on the KTX (Korea Train Express), which takes under three hours from Seoul Station to Busan Station. You can book tickets online at koreantrain.com or through the KORAIL app. Trains tend to sell out quickly in the summer, so we highly recommend booking in advance—ideally around the same time you book your flight!
What’s the best way to get around Seoul and Busan? Is public transportation easy to use for non-Korean speakers?
The subway systems in both Seoul and Busan are efficient, safe, and easy to navigate, with English signs and announcements. Taxis are also metered, convenient, and cost-efficient for short trips. If you're traveling between Seoul and Busan, only trains (KTX) are available, offering a fast and comfortable way to make the journey.
Wedding Attire
We’d love for our guests to embrace a formal yet breezy, beachside-appropriate style. For the guys, summer suits are perfect, and for the ladies, elegant dresses that suit the warm coastal climate—just please steer clear of white. Think of a chic Hamptons summer wedding: polished but effortlessly relaxed. While our ceremony and reception will be indoors, the Grand Josun Busan’s stunning location near Haeundae Beach sets the scene with beautiful ocean views and a serene, elegant vibe.
