Our Wedding

Our First Meeting

We met at a gas station in November of 2021.
 
Yes, a gas station. Shell, to be specific... In Minot, North Dakota of all places.
 
I was there for my career, and he was there for his first station out of basic.
 
We didn't even say a single word to each other, we only waved to each other as Subaru WRX/STI car owners would do. Acknowledging that we both share the same interest as car enthusiasts and essentially had the same car as one another.
 
I finished pumping my gas, got in my car and took off to go about my day.
 
Ask me how he found me later haha!
Needless to say, once we started talking, we never stopped talking. One thing lead to another (some rather impulsive), and now we're planning our wedding.

My cousin from my father's side. She's practically like a sister to me, and although we had our "disagreements" during childhood, we're now both grown-ups and have tons of fun when we hang out.

Another cousin from my father's side. And again, she's just like a sister to me! We grew up together and would often visit each other's households in the summer until her family finally moved to my city. Since then, we've been casually hanging out and whenever we're together, it's always a chill and fun time!

She is my actual blood sister, older than me by a good some years, enough so that I essentially grew up like an only-child. And because of that, she's been an awesome supporting model for me growing up, even from afar when she lived in CA (while I was in Houston, TX).

See the website linked for all the activities you can do at Snowbird. I recommend taking the tram for a good scenic view of the surrounding mountains. It'll take you to the top of the mountain!

Another highly recommended scenic drive to take if you want to see the colors of fall. But this one is free! See website to see what else you can while in this area.

Recommended place for a scenic drive to see the colors of fall. See website for extra information and what else you can do there. There is a small entrance fee though.

Mill Creek Canyon

The place that made us fall in love with Utah. I think it's the best location for sunset watching. If you drive around the island, you might get to see the wild bison! There is a small fee to enter though.

Ladyfinger Point Trailhead

CITY ACTIVITIES

You might see this massive structure as you're driving by it on the highway and wonder what is it. Well, it's the aquarium! And it's more than just an aquarium too.

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

The State Capitol building is a gorgeous building full of marble! It's free to enter and walk around either inside or outside the building.

Utah State Capitol

I think this is the prettiest mall I've gone to, it's got creek running through it!

City Creek Center

My favorite outlet mall to just hang around in! There's plenty of shops in this area.

Station Park

I don't think I've finished exploring this mall actually. It's pretty massive.

Hiking

If you're up for a hike, look no further than Utah! A good app is AllTrails. I recommend Ogden Canyon Waterfall, Lake Mary, Cecret Lake, or Farmington Creek trail (Photo is Yvan on that trail). just to name a few.
