Shawnie has been in my life since I came to Byers, back in 2nd grade. I was definitely a weirdo, still am to this day! She has had to listen to everything that I have panicked about over and over again. She’s given the greatest advice and do I take it? No 😂! Every time, I’d do the complete opposite of what she said! Her response always has been, “Do you ever listen to what I say? If so, then why do you do the complete opposite of what I say?” She’s the one who has gotten me out of the most stressful situations and kept my brain in check. I am forever grateful for her and her patience with me. Yes, I may be very stubborn but I always know, no matter how many times I screw up and don’t take her advice, there will be a “I told you so”, “well that wasn’t what I said, but ok”, and “so what are you gonna do about that now” she will never give up on trying to help me not do stupid crap! ❤️ Haha I love you Shawnie thank you for everything! Seriously though, I promise this is not going to be postponed, again, because if I try to you will seriously loose it on me this time, I can feel it!😂

Maddie and I went to the same high school and we played basketball together, but we grew closer this year being coworkers. She’s honestly the best person to look up to. Her hardworking, determination, and problem solving skills are only some of her best qualities. I am so goes she has entered my life, and I am so glad we’ve grown close! She never gives up on what she believes in, and always finds a way around the worst things to bring a smile to one’s face. She puts others before herself, always asks if anyone needs help, and never stops trying to strive for what she wants! I am extremely grateful for her beautiful spirit entering my life and I couldn’t ask for a better best friend to be by my side as I say I do to my forever best friend! ❤️

This girl and I have taken fun, crazy, and wild adventures. We’ve been through allot together especially good and bad trouble 🤫. I remember when she came into my life. We were babies. I was 20, she was 14, and she made me fall head over heels for American flag print. We met through her mom Bobbijo when I worked at Carls Jr. We have had so many good times together! Rodeo’s, were we’d get into some trouble, but we were able to get out trouble really quick, before anything bad happened, town driving, where our road rage would get the best of us and guys would ask for our numbers and we’d happily decline because we were taken, and all around small town back road adventuring, and listening to music. I can’t wait to get into some trouble on my big day with this girl! ❤️

Mandy is one of the most bluntest people I’ve met and she has helped me grow up to be a better mother and human being. She’s tough, kind, and blunt! I couldn’t be more proud to look up to her as a woman! She has helped me in more ways than I can think of. I really appreciate everything she’s done for me and Garret! I couldn’t ask for a better person to watch me say I do!

Jorge has been one of Charlie’s best friends since high school. Anytime Charlie is in need of someone, Jorge is one of his first calls, and he is sure to be there for him as much as he can. Pretty much all the time! He also is such a very including person. Always reaching out every now and then seeing if the whole crew wants to do a big dinner every other month or so. Charlie’s very lucky to have such a great friend in his life to keep him somewhat out of trouble.

Blaze is another one of Charlie’s best friends from high school. Not only does he look out for Charlie, but Blaze is the one who will be sure to find you a good deal on just about anything! You ask Blaze a question and he is a very knowledgeable person. Honestly, I’m glad he’s around so that I, (Yvette) don’t make dumb purchases, decisions, and accepting anything without doing research first. He’s honestly such a great friend and Charlie and I are grateful to have him in our lives.

Not only is he Charlie’s brother, but Nick and I (Yvette) go way back! We’ve been great friends since age 14! Meeting at a Latter-Day Saints dance and hitting it off really well, we kept in little contact until they moved here to Byers! He’s not only funny, he’s always willing to help with anything anyone asks! He also will do everything he can to make sure you don’t go without smiling at least once before the day is over. He’s one of the best examples I could look up to in life and he’s such a good uncle to Garret. I’m already excited to see the bond that those two will create as Garret grows up!

Garret Avery is the biggest blessing God, Garret Arnold, Avery Kelly, and Richard Darwin Jorgensen Sr could ever prepare and give to us! Not only is he named after two incredible people in mine and Charlie’s lives, but he has helped us come together and finally understand one another and helped us decide we do belong together. Parenting isn’t easy, but so far he’s been a very easy and good baby! Those up in heaven really did a good job of teaching him and preparing him for this crazy world. He’s got such a great gift and he’s absolutely precious and I can’t wait to see him grow and see what he becomes!
