We arranged a viewing in Lusty Beg 3 days after getting engaged lol! We were pretty keen but worked out well for us in the end as we fell in love with it! It's extremely cosy and rustic with beautiful views of Lower Lough Erne. We hope you enjoy our Wedding Day here as much as we are anticipating that we will!
We also love the idea of our Wedding Day being a big family affair, as we consider you all to be family celebrating one of the biggest events of our lives. We fell in love with Lusty Beg as it seemed to have everything in it that would allow us to celebrate this together as one big family! They have lots and lots of Accommodation if you decide you would like to stay over the night of the wedding and has lots of things to do the next day together to continue the celebrations that we have detailed in the 'Q&A' and 'Travel' Section of this website.
We also loved how this venue has everything in it that we love and enjoy as a couple - The beautiful view of Lough Erne, the uniqueness of getting the short Ferry ride over to the Island when you arrive, Outdoorsy Activities, the rustic and cosy feelings you get when you arrive and the feeling of being out in nature. We are so excited to have our Ceremony outdoors facing lower lough Erne and to hopefully have the sun shining down on us all... but who knows, it is Ireland after all!
We've attached some photos of Lusty Beg below so you can get familiar with it before our Wedding Day <3
The ferry runs on demand all day from 8am - 9pm. However, if you need it outside of these times and especially if you're heading home after Dancing, or at any time that you need to, you can just mention it to any staff members at Lusty Beg or dial '0' from the phone at the main car park. It only takes 3 minutes to cross, and it's free of charge. Staying guests can bring their car over on the ferry if they want to, but we kindly ask that if you aren't staying over, to park your car in the car park before the Ferry ride as you arrive. We would appreciate if you left a little bit of extra time while planning your journey to anticipate any waiting times that may occur for the Ferry ride as all of our guests will be coming over to the Island at similar times but you won't be waiting too long if you are in a queue, the ferry can hold two cars and quite a lot of people at once :)
