We are both really passionate about Accessibility and we understand how Weddings and different social events like this can be stressful for some people and how they can feel unapproachable sometimes.


We have listed a few FAQs below that we could think of that you may want answered and if there are any other questions or things you might be a little bit anxious about, please don't hesitate to contact either of us on our numbers, if you have them, or on our email: thecarlizzzles@gmail.com


We promise, that no question or worry will sound silly or strange to us. The most important thing to us at our Wedding is that the people we love (all of you!) feel happy and comfortable so that we can celebrate together!

Is the Venue wheelchair/disability accessible?

The ferry has a ramp onto it and all entryways are wide enough for a wheelchair. The only thing is that where our ceremony space is, there are 4 small steps down to where everyone will be sitting. If this is unsuitable for you, please email us at thecarlizzzles@gmail.com and we can contact Lusty Beg to provide a ramp here. Most of the different Accommodation options at Lusty Beg have steps into them but if you are concerned that the accommodation type that you have booked in Lusty Beg is not accessible for you, or you require a ramp/downstairs room etc please contact Lusty Beg at 028 6863 3300. They are super friendly and will be able to accommodate.

Ceremony Seating

Our ceremony is planned (unless Irish weather fails us) to be outdoors and is on benched seating. If benches aren't suitable for you and you require a chair with a back on it, or with arms on it, we can arrange that for you! Email us on the email shown above and we will be able to sort that our for you super quickly :)

SENSORY QUESTIONS

We recognise that having Sensory differences may affect how accessible a Wedding is for some. Below we've included some information that might help those who might appreciate it. If there's anything else that is specific to you on this topic, please contact us and we would be so happy to chat about it to see what we can do.

- The speakers in the Reception Room are in the ceiling, spread out evenly.

- We will not have any strobe lights at our Reception at any point.

- If you need to sit with your back more towards a wall (rather than having a bunch of people behind you chatting away), please let us know on the email above and we can sort that out :)

- There are lots of places to escape to if you need a break - There's a huge outdoor space with lots of forest walks and seating areas outside.
