Who would have thought you could find the love of your life on a dating app!?! I certainly did not, but they say everything happens for a reason... (written from Molly's point of view)... Zach and I met on a dating app called Bumble. If you don't know it, this particular app works with the woman saying hi first and starting the conversation. I was at the point of almost quitting the dating app world and giving up when I saw Zach. I of course thought he was very handsome and had a fun profile, and our now dog together (Zach's first) definitely helped as well! I of course swiped right, said hi, and we worked out setting up a first date. Zach chose the spot, The Jeffrey - a crafty beer &amp; bites bar in NYC, which I of course approved of because I had been there before several times and loved. Zach got there first, and when I walked in, he stood up from the bar, greeted me with a hug, and off we went! We talked all night and got to know each other, and had such a great time. At one point, Zach got up and I was hungry, so I ordered a Reuben sandwich for us to share. He got back to the bar and I told him, and he immediately said that he loved Reubens, so I ordered quite well😊 That first date was a great first date, so we of course kept it going and continued to see each other. Dates led to more dates, which led to meeting each other's family and friends, which led to moving in together, and you know the rest! How did we get engaged you ask? Well let me tell you! Zach and I love to travel, and this past October, we went on a trip to visit his family in Munich for Oktoberfest, and then continue onto Puglia, Rome and Venice Italy. We spent a majority of the trip with various family members of Zach's, but the last five days we had some time to travel ourselves in Rome and Venice. Our last day in Rome we didn't have anything planned, as we had already toured the Colosseum and the Vatican, so we went exploring on our own. Zach had mentioned there was a cool botanical garden that he wanted to check out, so we did that the morning of our last day in Rome. We got to the garden, and it looked like a jungle! It was very cool and beautiful, and had different sections you could walk through. Zach is a big fisherman and loves animals (as do I, and he's turned me into quite the fisherwoman) so he wanted to check out the Japanese garden on top of the hill to see the fish in the pond. I was totally down with this, so off we went to see the fish! After that, we continued to walk down a path, where you could see the entire city of Rome! It was beautiful, and the absolute best views of the city by far. As we walked down the path, I was taking pictures of the view, but there were some with trees obstructing my view. We walked a bit further, and we got to one spot and Zach said "Oh this is the view!" I agreed with him, picked up my phone, took some more pictures, and as I turned to face him, he was on his knee and asked me to marry him! It was the most perfect way and perfect moment, and that was the beginning of our new adventures! The six and a half years that we have been together have definitely been one for the books, and our wedding starts a whole new chapter. We can not wait to celebrate our special day with all of you and dance our faces off! Bring your dancing shoes, because this will be a party to remember!! Molly &amp; Zach 😊🥂🎉

Are children invited?

Although we love kids, this is a kid free event.

Are plus-ones invited?

Unless specifically stated on the RSVP / invitation, plus-ones are regretfully not included.

What's the attire?

Black-tie optional will be the attire. Outside of the dance floor, the wedding will be taking place on grass; so please be mindful of your shoes.

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

The event is outdoors with a large tent for the reception. There's a barn on-site, but we will not have access to it during the event.

Is there transportation to and from the venue?

Yes, we'll have 2 buses picking up and dropping off from the Greenport North Ferry in downtown Greenport. Buses will arrive at 4:30pm and make 2 round trips. The 1st leaving at 4:45pm and returning back immediately for another 5:15pm trip. After the reception is over at 11:00pm at Kontokosta Winery, the buses will make the same return trip with one stopping back at the ferry terminal and the other at Claudio's for the after party.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, the venue has a parking lot and valet service.

Are Uber / Lyft and taxis available?

FAQ's

If flying into NYC, it's approximately 2.5 - 3 hours by driving, bus, or train out to the end of Long Island / Greenport (~100 miles). If you're flying in on Friday, please take this extra travel time, post flight, into consideration on your travel day. Airports

The two major airports to fly into are:- LaGuardia Airport (LGA)- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) A little bit closer is Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP), but flights are limited as it's much smaller. And a slightly further option is Newark (EWR) in NJ.

Getting To The North Fork

Once in NYC, there are multiple ways to get out to Greenport / Eastern Long Island. There are also taxis, Uber, &amp; Lyft once out East. Driving- If the decision is to rent a car and drive, you can take the Long Island Expressway (LIE) most of the way out and then highways / surface streets the remainder. It's a pretty straight forward drive. Bus- <a href="https://www.hamptonjitney.com/hjmobile/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Hampton Jitney</a>: schedules are posted on their website and it stops at all towns on the North Fork, including Greenport. Train- <a href="https://new.mta.info/schedules" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Long Island Railroad (LIRR)</a>: schedules are posted on their website and a train change / transfer is required at Ronkonkoma. There are stops at each town on the North Fork, including Greenport.

This is our wedding venue, but it's great to visit even outside of the event. It's our favorite.

Fun and cozy vineyard with plenty of wine to drink and games to play! For sure worth checking out!

Bridge Lane Tasting Room

This is a popular vineyard, so you'll definitely want to swing by, try the wine, and enjoy the view of the beautiful sunflowers!

Pindar Vineyards

Enjoy some tastings or a glass or two at this cute, fun little vineyard with a beautiful pond to take a dip (just kidding 😉)! But definitely worth the trip!

Although Greenport is relatively small, it offers a great selection of waterfront food options &amp; venues in town. Here are some of our favorites.

Waterfront seaside outpost offering an array of fresh seafood, pub fare, wine, &amp; cocktails. Right at the north ferry to Shelter Island!

A quaint waterfront oyster bar tucked into the marina. Offers a really great view and small selection of mostly seafood / raw bar.

Little Creek Oyster Farm & Market

Fun waterfront bar &amp; grill with more of a party vibe / atmosphere. Our after party is here! Has one of the best views in Greenport.

This is our "local" pub where we like to hang out. They have arcade games, a pool table, and easy bar bites.

Whiskey Wind Tavern

Boutique hotel that offers multiple different bars within their courtyard area. A mix of outdoor and indoor spaces. One of these is a brick oven pizza spot!

The North Fork is lined with not only vineyards, but farms and farmstands as well. They're loaded with fresh fruit, vegetables, and pies. The fall is apple picking and cider season too!

This farm & grocery store offers a wide array of products that are harvested from their own property.

There are also a few cool breweries and distilleries on North Fork that offer a great variety of local drinks.

Although the tasting room is only open on Saturdays, they offer a very unique selection of drinks and alcohol they make on site. You can sometimes even get a tour of the facility / tastings.

Fun brewery right in downtown Greenport. Located in the old firehouse.

Greenport Harbor Brewing Company

This is the larger Greenpoint Brewing location in Peconic. It offers a full restaurant & is dog friendly!

This is a fun little distillery that offers some locally made booze. Most of their selections are on the sweeter side.
